More Ways to Save Money

Pay-as-you-go mobile
Since we’re already on the topic of telecommunications, why save more by getting rid of mobile phone plans? There are a lot of pay-as-you-go schemes now wherein you have to buy prepaid credits in order to use your mobile phone. As a result, you only really pay for you use. You just might be surprised when you calculate how much you can save – try it for a month!

Patronise your local market
I know, Tesco and Asda and all those big supermarket chains are much more convenient. Yet take a look at the huge price differences between them and the local markets and you just might change your mind. I am not sure about this but I would think that the produce in the local markets are fresher and thus healthier as well.

List it down
Along the lines of going to the market, save even more money by making your shopping list and sticking to it. Seeing all those things that you can buy is just pure temptation. I can’t remember how many times I have gone shopping without a list and ending up with more things that I needed. So make that list, get what’s in there, and get out of there.

Say no to designer brands
This one won’t work if you are a fashionista. Then again if you are one, you probably wouldn’t be that concerned with saving money. All I can say is that why pay several hundred pounds for a designer item when you can get basically the same thing for 10 or 20 pounds?

(more to come)
