The Last of the No-Nos of Money
November 8th, 2007 | by getapayday |Here are the last 3 no-nos when it comes to handling your finances.
Everyone’s doing it why shouldn’t I?
Conformity, keeping up with the Joneses – whatever you may wish to call it, this attitude spells nothing but disaster for your finances. If your neighbor has a new car every other year, it doesn’t mean you have to have one as well. Just because everyone you know is in debt one way or another doesn’t mean that you have to be, too. The occasional payday loan when necessary is reasonable but having to take out loans each month just to keep up with the lifestyle of others is just plain nonsense.
Everything will turn out fine.
This is as positive as one can get but sometimes, being too optimistic without taking into consideration the reality is not good. Just sitting there and waiting for a knight in shining armor to rescue you financially will not work – you have to be optimistic and do something about your financial situation at the same time.
Irrational fear
Some feel that they are mathematically challenged and so they don’t take a look see at their financial status. Others simply think it’s not manageable. Whatever the reason for the fear behind managing your finances, you have to face it. More often than not, this fear could just be an excuse not to deal with one’s money problems. If I were you, I’d stand straight and face the music. That way, you can deal with your problems and start your way to a better financial future.
