Get Out of the Red (Part 2)
November 20th, 2007 | by getapayday |Here are some more ideas to make your finances a bit healthier one practical step at a time.
Do you have extra space in your apartment? An extra room that is not being used, maybe? If so, would you consider taking in a lodger to bring in extra cash? If you are renting, then the rent you would get from the lodger would help you out in this respect. If you own your home, then you can use the extra money for other expenses. Of course, getting a lodger is not that simple. You would have to be willing to live with another person – possibly one that you do not really know that well. So before acting on this idea, make sure that you cover all the angles and possibilities first.
Switching utility providers may also help you save more in order to be able to deal with your debts better. There are now different options when it comes to electricity and gas. Even your telephone provider can be let go and exchanged for something more cost effective for you. Look into their different rates and offers and see if you can save up by switching to another utility provider.
This one isn’t so much fun but it can do the trick – why not consider taking on another job? Look into part time jobs that could be done at home. Find a job that will not eat up all your time. Go online and look for ways to supplement your income. It may not sound pretty at all but the additional income that you can get just might help you get rid of your debt sooner.
