Clean Up Credit Card Debt For The New Year

Friday, December 28th, 2007

One of the worst things for me is to receive my credit card bill just after the holidays.  Even though each year, I tell myself that I will not use that credit card to the max and use cash as much as possible, it seems that the temptation is just so hard to resist.  Just about a week or so ago, I was out at the malls shopping and it was just so hard for me not to simply take out the card and swipe it instead of taking paper bills.

However, for the New Year, I thought that it would be a good thing to clear up my credit card debt and really try to use cash as much as possible.  Why?  First off, with cash, you can keep track of your expenses more easily.  That way, you can stop spending if you run out of it.

But what if you do not have enough cash and you really have urgent needs? For example, if you already have plans for the New Year and you do not have enough cash to carry them out?  I think it would be better to consider taking out a payday loan or a cash advance loan instead of using your credit card again.

Credit card swiping is such an easy thing to do and before you know it, your spending would have exceeded what you are capable of paying.  At least, with a payday loan, you only get a fixed amount and you know exactly how much you need to pay when the time comes.  More so, you will have cash on hand and that is the only thing that you can spend.

Use Cash From A Payday Loan For The Holidays

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

I am sure that you have heard a lot about payday loans and how they can help bridge the gap that can arise between paydays.  We’ve all had this experience at least once in our lives – payday is about a week or two away and we just need some cash urgently.  What do you when this happens?  One option would be to take out a payday loan to make ends meet for the moment.

What can you do with a payday loan?  A whole lot, really.  Yet with the holidays here, you can do so much more with a payday loan.  Christmas is over – well, almost.  Is there any other thing that you need to spend on?  How about New Year?

Tradition has it that we spend a lot of time with our families during the Christmas period.  When it comes to welcoming the New Year, though, a lot of people tend to spend the time off with friends partying.  Perhaps you are planning your own New Year’s party for next week.

Have you suddenly realized that you have spent most – if not all – of your money on Christmas gifts and parties?  Is your credit card maxed out as well?  A payday loan might just be able to bail you out of your situation.  If you have plans for the New Year that involves spending money (you probably do) and you are short on it, I suggest that you look into payday loans – they can get the money into your hands quickly and you will be able to party as you wish!

Lucky Enough to Receive a Bonus?

Friday, December 21st, 2007

Are you one of those employees who have generous employers?  Are you fortunate enough to receive some sort of bonus this Christmas?  If you are, then good for you.  Hold your horses, though.  Before you rush out to the nearest sale and blow all your money, why not do a bit of thinking and make the most out of your money?

For one, I would suggest that you take a look at your existing debts.  I know this may not sit well with some people but hey, here you are, it’s the end of the year and you still have existing debts.  Now comes your Christmas bonus.  If you have the extra cash, what’s keeping you from paying off your debts?  I am not saying that you should use all that money for debts – that would not be too enjoyable, really.  What I am saying is that you should at least make some payments on the really urgent ones.  At least, you will be making some headway in this respect.

Another idea would be to invest part of that bonus in something lucrative.  If you do this, you would be able to watch your money grow and it will eventually be something more than what you originally had.  I suggest looking into ISAs.  Anyone over 18 has the right to invest in ISAs tax free.  That is, with the limit of £7,000 a year.  This is not bad, no?

I guess what I am trying to say is that if you have that money, don’t blow it on things that will not benefit you in the long run.

Shop for a Cheaper Christmas

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Wouldn’t we all give an arm and a leg to save a lot on Christmas shopping? Here’s one way to do it – shop online. You may be thinking that that will do for certain gifts but not for food stuff. Well you are thinking wrong. In fact, there are quite a lot of options when it comes to buying food for Christmas online.

This site gives us the opportunity to shop online at the major supermarkets. Take a look at what these following stores have to offer – Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda, and Waitrose. Of course, they have their own online sites wherein where you can shop but the good thing about MySupermarket is that you can compare prices from the different supermarkets right in one web site. That sure gives you a lot of options in a convenient manner!

Another good thing about this web site is that they show you alternatives to the items that you have chosen. This way, you can easily find cheaper variations of the same item. More so, this web site automatically shows you which items are on sale so that you can easily choose the cheaper goods.

Look for Internet vouchers or coupons as well. This being the season for discounts, you can find a lot of vouchers that can save you a considerable amount when shopping online. A couple of good sites include MyVoucherCodes.co.uk and VoucherCodes.com.

The best thing to do would be to look around. You don’t need much – just the Internet and some time. At least you would not have to wait in long queues at the store, right?

Is It Time To Take Out A Loan?

Friday, December 14th, 2007

So it’s less than 2 weeks before the day that everyone has been looking forward to.  Have you gotten everything that you need?  Gifts, food, drinks, money for that trip that you have been wanting to go on – whatever your expenses may be, they might be proving to be too taxing on your budget.

Are you considering alternative sources of cash to spend for the holidays?  If I were you, I would look to other things than credit cards and traditional loans.  Why so?  Think about it, with credit cards, you will probably be tempted to spend more than you can pay off in a reasonable amount of time.  The result is that you would be in debt for quite some time mainly due to the humongous interest rates applied to outstanding balances.  We all know about this scenario, don’t we?

With traditional loans, on the other hand, the interest rates may be lower and the repayment terms may be more manageable.  However, with only less then 2 weeks left before Christmas, do you really have enough time to go through the whole process of availing of a traditional loan?  More so, will you be able to get the money in time for Christmas?  I doubt it.

That is why I think a Christmas loan would be the best option if you do have to take out a loan.  It takes less than a couple of days for the whole process – from application to getting the cash.  More so, you wouldn’t end up having to pay a credit card bill for months on the end.
